SolvingPain — A Project By Ontario's Anesthesiologists

SolvingPain Is One!

SolvingPain.ca officially launched on June 8, 2021. For the past year, the site and its first phase, the Perioperative Pain Management Pathway, has provided evidence-based surgical pain control best practices to thousands of mostly Canadian healthcare providers (and likely a few curious members of the general public). We’ve also highlighted how to best handle certain common treatment altering factors, shared resources for patients, and spotlighted pain-related research by Ontario anesthesiologists.

To celebrate, we’ve added a urological surgeries section to the Perioperative Pain Management Pathway. We’ve also reviewed all of SolvingPain’s existing best practices (over 50 sets of recommendations) and where appropriate, updated our content with the latest information.

You can help us celebrate our first year by wishing us a happy birthday on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. And as always, please continuing spreading the word about SolvingPain.ca to your colleagues.

Ontario’s Anesthesiologists, the creators of SolvingPain, believe that this project can greatly benefit Canadian patients by empowering healthcare providers with the knowledge they need to optimize pain management. And through better pain management, we believe that we can help prevent opioid misuse.

SolvingPain.ca wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of our volunteer Action Group. Thank you Action Group for your support!
